We are a 501(c)(3) non for profit organization providing learning resources to our members. At Empitus Inc, we empower students to learn , to ask insightful questions, explore disciplinary boundaries and confront conventional ways of thinking. Currently we offer academic programs, including AI & machine learning workshop, Hi-tech train & support , nutrition & health workshop. We also offer art & sport programs such as music seminar , concert, and chess tournament. Throughout the year , we organize various community culture, art and service events.

Our Leadership Team

President & Co-Founder - Jollen

.Jollen is a Computer Science major at UCLA with a strong passion for technology, education, and community impact. While in high school, he founded his school's AI & Machine Learning Club and co-founded Empitus, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a learning community that bridges the digital divide across generations. Jollen has actively participated in computer science and data science research projects and competitions, developing strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills. Since high school, he has taught a wide range of STEM subjects, including Python, Scratch coding, chess, and SAT Math. He currently serves as a lead instructor with a well-established tutoring company in the Los Angeles area, where he teaches AP Computer Science A (AP CSA) and mentors students in programming and computational thinking. At UCLA, Jollen continues to expand his leadership and research experience. He holds leadership positions in computer science and artificial intelligence student organizations, actively participates in research projects, and has been recognized with multiple scholarships for his academic excellence and contributions to the university community. Beyond STEM, Jollen enjoys playing chess and volleyball. He is passionate about inspiring the next generation of learners by making computer science engaging, accessible, and meaningful.

CEO & Co-Founder Eleana

Eleana is an honor student at Bridgewater-Raritan High School who excels both academically and athletically. She is a competitive volleyball player on a prestigious national club team and is also a key member of her high school's varsity volleyball team. In addition to her athletic achievements, Eleana has trained in dance for more than a decade and has earned multiple national awards in dance competitions. She is also a talented artist who has received top honors in art competitions over multiple years, showcasing her creativity across a variety of disciplines. Passionate about giving back to her community, Eleana has volunteered for several years as a teaching assistant for volleyball and dance classes at a nonprofit organization. She has also contributed her artistic talents by designing posters and playbills for nonprofit events. An active participant in school clubs, Eleana takes on leadership roles in organizing community service initiatives and helping create meaningful opportunities to serve others.

Advisor - Dandan Chen

Ms. Dandan is a Senior Principal Scientist at a globally recognized consumer health company, where she leads research and development initiatives that drive scientific innovation. An accomplished R&D leader, she holds multiple patents and has authored numerous peer-reviewed research publications. Dandan earned her bachelor's degree from Fudan University and her Ph.D. from New York University. She has dedicated her entire career to scientific research, combining deep technical expertise with a passion for innovation and discovery. Outside of her professional work, Dandan is deeply committed to community service. She actively volunteers at a variety of community events and serves in leadership roles within nonprofit organizations, using her experience and dedication to make a positive impact on others.

Art & Sport Director - Aaron

Aaron is a top honor student at the prestigious Stanford Online High School. He is homeschooling to accommodate his rigorous tennis training schedule. A gifted tennis player, Aaron consistently triumphs in numerous tournaments, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Beyond his athletic prowess, Aaron shines in the performing arts arena. He attained the highest accolades in Broadway rap competitions, demonstrating his versatility and skill on stage. Additionally, he is deeply involved in community art events, serving as a charismatic host for various concerts throughout the year. Aaron is revered as a prominent figure in both the sports and arts communities, earning him widespread recognition and admiration for his remarkable achievements and contributions.

Event Coordinator – Sabrina

Sabrina Tang is a Computer Science major at Purdue University and an honor graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School. She is passionate about technology, the arts, and the humanities, uniquely blending her interests in computer science with creativity and literature. Throughout high school, Sabrina earned Gold Awards in the National Latin Exam every year and achieved a perfect score on the SAT Reading and Writing section twice, demonstrating exceptional strength in languages and communication alongside her STEM accomplishments. Dedicated to serving her community, Sabrina has extensive experience as a summer camp counselor and enjoys mentoring younger students. She teaches a variety of subjects, including Python programming, arts and crafts, and SAT English. Combining her artistic talent with her commitment to community service, Sabrina has also designed numerous posters, playbills, and promotional materials for nonprofit organizations.

Event Coordinator - Olivier

Olivier is an honor student at Bridgewater-Raritan High School with a passion for theater arts. She is enrolled in the Theater Arts program at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, where she has performed in numerous productions, taking on a variety of leading and prominent roles. Beyond the stage, Olivier applies her technical theater expertise to serve the community. She volunteers as a stage manager for concerts and performances organized by several nonprofit organizations, helping ensure successful productions while supporting community arts initiatives.

Event Coordinator - Jayden

Jayden is an honor student at Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, with a strong passion for STEM. From a young age, he has demonstrated exceptional talent in mathematics and has earned numerous top awards in prestigious math competitions. Beyond academics, Jayden is a dedicated athlete and competitive swimmer who has competed as a New Jersey State Championship finalist. He is also an accomplished musician, playing both the piano and viola, and has received multiple top honors in piano competitions over the years. In his free time, Jayden enjoys playing tennis, creating artwork, and writing. His diverse interests reflect his curiosity, creativity, and commitment to excellence in both academics and the arts.

Event Coordinator - Kevin

Kevin is a Data Science major at UCLA with a strong commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. He is passionate about using data and technology to solve real-world problems while making a positive impact both on campus and in the broader community. Throughout high school, Kevin was actively involved in community service and found great fulfillment in giving back to others. He was elected as a student board member of his local YMCA, where he helped support programs and initiatives that benefited the community. In addition to his academic pursuits, Kevin is an accomplished competitive swimmer. He qualified for USA Swimming Futures and was a C-Finalist at the YMCA Long Course National Championships, demonstrating dedication and perseverance both in and out of the pool. At UCLA, Kevin has continued to excel academically as a straight-A student. He has taken on leadership roles in student organizations, earned multiple scholarships in recognition of his academic achievements, and gained valuable industry experience through internships with leading companies. Kevin is committed to combining his technical skills, leadership, and passion for service to create meaningful impact in his future career.
